Steven A. Sutton, MD

Dr. Steven A. Sutton completed his undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Austin and completed medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas. He trained in pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (1998-2001). Dr. Sutton was a chief resident at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center from 2001 – 2002. He completed adult and pediatric allergy, asthma and immunology training at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (2002-2005).

Dr. Sutton is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. He is also a fellow of both the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology. He is the immediate past president of the Cincinnati Allergy and Asthma Society.

Dr. Sutton welcomes all ages to his practice and takes a collaborative approach with his patients.

Dr. Sutton is originally from San Antonio, Texas but has enjoyed living in Cincinnati since 1998. He is an avid runner and enjoys traveling.

John A. Eckman, MD

Dr. Eckman is a native of the Cincinnati area and graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1994. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, he moved back to the Cincinnati area where he received his Medical Degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2002. He then completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in 2005. The following year he served as a chief resident. In 2009, he completed a three-year fellowship in Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Eckman completed his Allergy and Immunology fellowship and was board certified in 2008. He was also board certified in Internal Medicine in 2005. In addition to caring for patients with asthma and rhinitis, he has a special interest in food allergy, hives and medical education.

Dr. Eckman is married and has two children. He enjoys tennis, swimming, photography and spending time with his family and friends. He is an avid Bengals and Reds fan.

Medical Staff

We are fortunate to have an excellent and experienced staff of nurses and medical assistants. You will find our nurses and medical assistants to be a great resource for many of your allergy and asthma questions.
