Medical Training
He trained in pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (1998–2001) and was its chief resident from 2001 to 2002. Then, he completed adult and pediatric allergy, asthma, and immunology training at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (2002–2005).
Dr. Sutton is also a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology.
Education
Dr. Steven A. Sutton completed his undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Austin and finished medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas.

He is a diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology.

Dr. Sutton is the immediate past president of the Cincinnati Allergy and Asthma Society.

He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in 2005. The following year, Dr. Eckman served as its chief resident. Then, he completed a three-year Allergy and Clinical Immunology Fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2009.

Dr. John A. Eckman is a native of Cincinnati, OH, who graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1994. After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, he moved back to the Cincinnati area and earned his Medical Degree from the University of Cincinnati in 2002.
Board Certifications
Dr. Eckman became board-certified in internal medicine in 2005. He then became board-certified in allergy and immunology in 2008.

He treats patients with asthma and rhinitis. Additionally, Dr. Eckman has a special professional interest in food allergies, hives, and medical education.
